A Lover's Promise

by Anon

Shall I compare thee to a winter's night?
So cold and ruthlessly black as my fright
Yet you ran far away with all your might
As does the winter to the summer's light
Yet I hated the frightening dark out there
The way the lights shined in your golden hair
The way the dark covered the white snowy tears
The way you loved me but now don't care

Yet your old past love will keep me going
Of cold dark nights of fright still blowing
Yet you left me there
were it was snowing &
wolves were howling &
wanting loving

So I end this poem with
hatred tears for once loved
but never feared
