Hexagon (6-sided Polygon) WindingsIn the tightest winding, 3 hexagons fit together around a point. This is the first instance we have seen of a winding with fewer polygons than there are sides in each polygon. The second winding conforms to the same pattern we saw with squares, and will see again with other even-sided polygons: there are as many polygons in the winding as there are sides in each polygon. Note that the hollow space in the center is also shaped like a hexagon, but is not itself a part of the winding. It is leftover space from winding the six outer hexagons around in a circle.
