You're redeemed
when mementoes
smell acrid

You're lucky
when giants die
before they're heroes

You're hiding
when you'd rather
order by phone

You're lazy
when you imagine
history pining for rumors

You're stupid
when you think this week
will carry you through the next

You're dead
when you pray
you never feel that again
