Pentagon (5-sided Polygon) Windings

The same polygon can often be wound in more than one way. Below is the tightest possible winding of pentagons, or Winding 1.

Another winding is possible, where you skip a side before attaching the next pentagon. This is Winding 2.

Conjecture: For every regular polygon, the loosest winding forms a circle in which none of the polygons overlap each other.
